is there a registry? kind of. learn more on the registry page.

how'd you propose, dude? after months of painstaking ring design, jay proposed to cassie on their one year anniversary on the top of little si, the site of their first date. cassie was surprised; jay is surprising. (if you're up for a small hike, it's a good one. just make sure you go early. it gets crowded.)

is this wedding black tie? we would say that it's closer to no tie than to black tie. do with that what you will. but look nice! this is our special day, dammit.

will this be a gay wedding? while there will be gay people there and it will be a happy occasion, this is not a gay wedding per se. if you'd like to make a donation to equal rights washington, that would be right on. it does feel a bit weird to be getting married while some of our friends legally can't.

where can i learn nerdy facts about seattle? the wikipedia entry on seattle is so detailed that you're going to regret ever being born a fact-nerd. though it has a lovely panoramic view from the space needle.

where's the best cup of coffee in seattle? well, that's up for debate. here are a few favorites: stumptown (capitol hill), cafe bambino (ballard), vivace (capitol hill), zoka (greenlake), fresh flours (phinney ridge), lighthouse (fremont), and cafe fiore (ballard). oh, and you may want to hit the first starbucks (pike place market).

is seattle far? depends on where you live, i guess. for locals, not really. from new york or boston, it's pretty far. BUT! being this far west gives you the opportunity to springboard to a slew of other locations that are even farther away from your house after chilling with us for a few days: alaska (lots of direct flights from sea-tac), portland and vancouver, bc (both convenient by amtrak), hawaii (also many direct flights), japan (it's only another 9 hours), sf and la.

can i stay on your couch, bro? uh, we'd normally say yes, but we might be a bit preoccupied with wedding stuff. we urge team-ups and reach-outs to find people to crash with. contact us, we'll see if we can set you up somehow.

does it rain all the time? eh. it rains sometimes. it's more grey than rainy and when it rains it isn't like northeast rain where it dumps and you really can't believe how hard it's dumping. it'll spit on you and can beat you down over time, but it takes a whole season. you won't even notice it when you're here. that said, we hope to have good weather. the view from daybreak star is killer. you can see clear to mt baker on a nice day.
